4月18日 Blog Hard 2: Blog HarderI'll probably put some more stuff up here now that I'm less busy and I'll have a lot more free time on my hands. You can also expect more interesting content. i might post internet vid's I like, music, pictures, link's to awesome websites, etc. Especially etc. :p
I also have a hunch only 1 or 2 people actually read this but whatever, might as well use it as a personal diary if nothing else. >_<
The awesome crap starts here:
www.Veoh.com
This is basically a replacement for Stage6. Not quite as awesome due to lack of actual DivX content, but still real awesome. Well, not real awesome, but pretty awesome.
Also, who still goes to Youtube? Sure they have more videos, more users, and more money, but Veoh is less bloated with crap, fairly functional, and is more lenient when it comes to copyright freakouts. They also have a solid selection of anime, slightly higher quality video, and most of all, the Veoh community isn't full of retards, rappers, spammers, and advertisers. & bye rappr's i meen any1 tha type lik dis.4月1日 Casual gaming/ GODDAMN EALately I've been playing some pretty casual games, Endless Ocean, Ninja Reflex, Flash Focus, and some others. Does this mean I'm going casual and I've given up on the hardcore gaming I'm used to? No, I'm just trying something different and having a good time doing so. All those games I listed actually have some pretty cool features. Endless Ocean for example, a relaxing freeform scuba-diving game, takes advantage of the Wii's SD card slot so you can listen to any music you want while diving, Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection allows you to visit a friend or have a friend visit you and dive together. Ninja Reflex: Steamworks Edition takes advantage of some features only found in Valve games until now such as achievements. It also has a few Half Life related cameos like the Lambda, Gordon Freeman's glasses, Companion Cube, Combine Soldiers, and even a Strider, giving the game a hardcore-casual feel.
These games can actually be good for you in a way. Endless Ocean teaches you about all the creatures of the sea you encounter, Ninja Reflex trains your reflexes with a mouse and shows you how to meditate. And of course, Flash Focus aims to improve your eyesight.
In other news I bought C&C3 Kane's Wrath and the Red Alert 3 Beta key didn't work when I tried to register. I feel like smacking someone right now. Maybe a baby. 3月29日 Been a while...... since I posted something. :D
So Army of Two.... now that's some good shit right there. It's pretty much an extension of Gears of War's Co-op mixed in with some awesome things like pimping out your gun, swapping weapons, simultaneous sniping, and some other cool co-op action. I rented it from Gamefly and I'm pretty sure even though I beat the campaign in a day with some on and off help from my buddy, the co-op gameplay is just so perfect I think I'm gonna keep it. And then there's the inevitable downloadable content. Definitely the best game I've played from EA since Beetle Adventure Racing for the N64. :P
On the TV side of things, Lost is over for at least a month and Jericho is gone forever, so there's two more hours a week that can be spent some other way. 3月8日 Weekend!/Other things Weekend is here and I have nothing to do except chill in mah bedroom and drink lemonade (shits awesome). Took my computer outside and cleaned it out, shitton of cat hair and dust in the fans and stuff. Now that it's all out I won't have to keep my room at sub zero temperatures to play Gears and such. Got myself a wireless Xbox 360 Headset for use with my computer, it works pretty well, long battery life, but I don't like how it clings onto my ear, I hate that, it makes my ear all red... Still waiting for the weekly Layton puzzle, the website says they are supposed to come on Thursdays, but usually its more like Sunday. Last weeks puzzle was bullshit, I solved it in less than 60 seconds. : ( I watched the Apple town hall thingy and they are doing some FREAKING awesome things with the iPhone. Most of what they showed off was done in a matter of two weeks, some in a couple of days. They presented some simplistic things first, like a multi touch photo editor, but then they moved on to a little Starfox-like space shooter with tilt controls like those found in Warhawk, 3D sound, and touch controls for shooting. Then things escalated as representatives from EA, AOL, SEGA, and some other companies showed off their little applications. I saw Spore, Super Monkey Ball, and AIM on the iPhone and they all looked extremely polished for just 2 weeks of work. The graphics rival those of the DS and possibly the PSP. Add in the fact that it has a beautiful multi-touch screen, internet capabilities, and an iPod and we are left with a pretty awesome handheld gaming platform. /iphone fanboy 3月5日 Flash Focus/Layton 2Nothing exciting happening. Got a mild cold with some fever and coughing too. Funfun. Started a new DS game, Flash Focus. It's basically Brain Age except for your vision. It doesn't involve complex math or shouting out colors, it tests your HEC (hand-eye coordination), momentary vision, peripheral vision, and some other things. After completing the four reccommended activities for the day you get a stamp on your calendar and sometimes a new test for your eyes. To finish of your session, the game has you relax your eyes with some simple exercises such as rollingblinking, rolling your eyes, etc. It also tests for your 'Vision Age' which ranges anywhere from 20 to 80, 20 being the maximum possible score. My first test yielded a vision age of 40! Not too bad but I'm looking forward to training every day as the game tells you to in order to reach the 20.
In other news I attempted to play the sequel to Professor Layton, currently only available in Japan, and was forced to call it quits after two measly puzzles as I was presented with a puzzle with lenghty Japanese instructions and I simply couldn't figure out what to do but it was multiple choice and I could have proceeded but decided not to since the best parts about Layton 1 were the story, dialogue, cleverly worded brainteasers, and well done English voice overs. Besides, I was just testing the water as far as audio and visual improvements go. Guess I'll have to wait until this Christmas when the game is released in the states. :(
Also: Decided to share this hilarious (imo) youtube video of some Japanese dude dubbed the 'Card Crusher' crushing a card in this womans face in slow motion. Epic.
3月3日 Damn it feels good to be clean/LAYTON COMPLEAT Took mah shower the other day and I'm about to take another. I also bought a lot of Tag body spray and Febreeze'd the shit outta my room so no worries there. In other news I have conquered Layton! All 135 puzzles have been solved + all the downloadable puzzles so far. LAYTON IS OFFICIALLY MY BITCH. 3月1日 God I smell/Layton puzzle 122 I smell like crap, I should shower more...
